The project
The point of this project was to theoretically solve a world problem. We brainstormed ideas and went into groups based on the general idea of the problem we wanted to work on. My group (Wilson, Grant, Matt, and Jacob) all paired up to do something silly but ended up veering into other ideas. We decided to tackle the problem of overpopulation specifically the number of hunger problems in urban areas by designing vertical farms. These farms would allow cities to have gardens to directly tackle hunger in the proximity.
Design cycle
After thorough research some of which was on straws we decided we had spent enough time getting to know the problem and it was now time to brainstorm our solution. We decided to design vertical farms using aeroponics to grow the plants, and after a trial presentation we started the real work. We created a 3d model to represent the farm, the simple design could be copy pasted. We then decided what plants to grow and where we would build the farm.
Reflection
Overall I enjoyed working with my group for this project but i was left unsatisfied by the project. In this project I feel as if my group went in unsure of what we wanted to do and that lead to me personally doing work on a part of the project we never ended up using and researching a topic that we decided not to use. This part of my work left me confused for the rest of the project and left unsure of what i should do to contribute to the project
